The Porkopolis Pig & Whiskey Festival.

This afternoon we walked back up to Horseshoe Casino to check out this weekend's big event, The Porkopolis Pig & Whiskey Festival...




There were 40+ varieties of whiskey, bourbon and scotch available to sample...


We started in with a couple of Jack Honey and ginger ale...





Pig & Whiskey also showcased six of Cincinnati’s best barbecue restaurants highlighting unique, delicious pork and beef barbecue dishes.





We started with some delicious Huit BBQ...

And then it was time for our main event, Velvet Smoke BBQ...


We got their sampler with brisket, burnt ends and cole slaw...

And a couple of Velvet Smoke rib bones...

The burnt ends were the highlight for the day for me. So tender and delicious. YUM!




Olde Smoky gave Genifer a free trucker cap...

And the DirecTV Blimp made a surprise appearance!
