This afternoon we stepped away from all the All-Star festivities downtown to hop just to the north into Norwood to check out what was being hailed as the return of Cincinnati's best summer beer festival, Volksfest...
Volksfest is a festival for the people of Cincinnati, brought to us by our favorite local craft breweries. Held July 10th and 11th at Listermann Brewing Company in Norwood, Ohio, Volksfest featured beers only from local breweries. And they were all on hand...
Their system was a bit convoluted but the beers were delicious!
One of our new favorites we discovered at Volkfest was Listermann's Coffee Nutcase...
To us, it actually had more of an amazing peanut butter taste to it than coffee. But it was sooooo good! In addition to beer samples, we also shared an incredible brisket sammich from The Beerded Pig with a side of bacon mac&cheese...
But they somehow disappeared before any photos could be taken.
We'll have to stop back and check out Listermann's taproom too...
Volksfest made for a really great afternoon of trying some new beers. :)
