Tonight, we went back to the ballpark to see the Reds take on the Atlanta Braves...
GABP was crazy empty this evening...
The Reds brought up David Holmberg from AAA Louisville to pitch tonight in place of
an injured Homey Bailer...
His first start for the Reds back in July didn't go so hot...
Holmberg gave up 7 hits – including three long balls – and 5 earned runs in just 2.2 innings.
So we didn't have a really good feeling coming into this game...
The Braves Jason Heyward...
BARGE!
Holmberg got rocked again. He gave up 6 runs on 5 hits again in just 2.2 innings. :/
Enter Pedro Villarreal...
The Braves had their ace Julio Tehran on the hill...
BARGE!!
Oh wait, that's the same barge. It was trying to turn around or something. One of the
t-shirts the Reds Rally pack shot up into the crowd landed on the seat a couple of seats
over. And we gave it to a little kid sitting in front of us...
There were some pretty little pink clouds floating by GABP...
There wasn't much else to get excited about...
I don't know that there were anywhere near 20,000 people at tonight's game.
And then awesome happened. Reds outfielder/second baseman Skip Schumaker came
in to pitch the ninth inning...
Skip went on to pitch a scoreless ninth! And that was the highlight of the game for us.
That, and this guy trying to dance up a Reds rally...
Turns out he was dancing just a couple sections over...
Yep. It hasn't been a very good stretch for the Reds lately. :/
