To kick off the summer season, Margaritaville at the Horseshoe Casino has launched a
refreshed menu boasting more than 15 new drinks and dishes. Tonight, we were invited
to enjoy a night of Key West-inspired cuisine, drinks and good laughs!
We didn't realize that tonight at Horseshoe Casino was a Foreigner/Styx concert...
The menu for tonight's festivities...
It sounds like it's going to be a ton of food...
Wait a second...
I think we found Jimmy Buffet's lost shaker of salt...
The first course...
White cheddar cheese curds...
They were a touch chewy but pretty dang tasty especially when dipping in the sauces.
And then we moved on to the grilled shrimp skewers...
The spicy saucy on the shrimp was just awesome. They were pretty dang delicious.
And then the second wave of appetizers started to arrive. Delicious Key West quesadillas
with very tender and juicy Carne Asda steak...
A very tasty Asiago crab dip...
"Drunken" shrimp skillet with tequila Key Lime garlic butter...
Our to-go boxes were starting to fill up fast...
For our entrees, Genifer ordered the grilled chicken sammich...
And I ordered the Volcano burger topped with volcano chili, lava cheese sauce, jalapeƱos,
guacamole and finally topped with Fritos corn chips...
It was super tasty. If only I wasn't already stuffed.
Soooo. Much. Food...
While we were waiting for whatever would woo be sitting on that lazy Susan, the lead
singer of Foreigner decided to climb up the scaffolding surrounding the stage...
And then the Chocolate Hurricane showed up...
Drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauces as it spun on the lazy Susan...
And there was an incredible Key Lime Cheesecake...
We're not huge dessert people, but we did some damage to the Chocolate Hurricane...
We also walked away with a gift bag filled with a Margaritaville t-shirt, a pair of Landshark
flip-flops, an authentic Margaritaville menu and boat drink menu, a Margaritaville jump drive
and two Margaritaville tumblers! How about all that?
It was a pretty spectactular evening with enough delicious food to feed a small country.
Thanks to Margaritaville and Rockaway PR for inviting us out! :)
