The Cyclones were back in Cincinnati for game six of the ECHL Eastern Conference
semifinals against the Fort Wayne Komets. After game two, the 'Clones left for Indiana
with the series all deadlocked at 1-1. They returned to Cincinnati with a commanding 3-2
advantage in the best of seven series. All they needed to do was take one of the next
two games within the friendly confines of US Bank Arena to book their second trip to the
ECHL Eastern Conference Finals in as many years. Let's do this!
The Cyclones scored as soon as we walked into US Bank Arena...
GOAL CYCLONES! 2-0!
And the first intermission, the Cyclones led 2-0...
3-0 CYCLONES!
And at the end of the second period, the Cyclones were up 3-0!
Things didn't look good when the Komets got a 5 on 3 advantage...
But after an anxious couple of minutes, the Cyclones killed off the power play...
Eventually, the Komets got on the board...
Then the Komets pulled their goalie for an extra attacker...
The Cyclones added a fourth on the empty netter! 4-1!
For the second year in a row, the Cyclones are going to the Eastern Conference finals!
Game one of the Eastern Conference finals is Monday at US Bank Arena! See you there! :)
Oh. And we sure were happy we didn't have to sit in the traffic after the game...
Geesh. :/
