Master Chef Jean-Robert de Cavel and pastry chef Jean Philippe Solnom have a new
breakfast/lunch spot just up Vine Street from Jean-Robert's well-known Table. It's in
the space that used to house Mayberry and then Burnell's. It's called French Crust Cafe,
and looks to bring a touch of France to downtown Cincinnati. Today, I went to check
it out for lunch.
They have a pretty awesome selection of pastries...
Complete with french macarons...
And little creme brulees....
I got the "C" BLT to go.
Though I can't remember what the "C" stood for. Probably something French.
It was a very good sammich. And it came with a little side salad...
I got one of those little creme brulees to share with Genifer. :)
French Crust is a great little place. Another terrific addition to the downtown Cincinnati
lunch scene. I just wish they were open on Saturdays. :)
UPDATE: Check that. According to French Crust's Facebook, they're we starting Saturday
hours this weekend! They'll be opening at 8 am. I suggest you get there early. :)
