Alright. My all-time favorite soccer team is Arsenal Football Club, the Kings of London.
Barcelona is a very close second with AC Milan and Manchester City following close
behind. But Arsenal is hands-down my favorite. And of all the great players that have
played for Arsenal through the years, only a few players continually thrilled and amazed
me. Former French striker, Thierry Henry is at the top of that list. Henry is Arsenal's
top goalscorer with 228 goals in all competitions between 1999 and 2012. Nowadays,
he plays for the New York Red Bulls. So when we saw that the Reds Bulls were coming
to Columbus to play the Crew, we jumped at the chance to get to see Thierry Henry work
some of this magic. And especially when you combine Henry with all the fun we had at
the last Crew game. It was impossible to pass up the opportunity to do it all over again.
Some people go all out for their Columbus Crew soccer.
I think Genifer realized it could be worse than me taking a camera everywhere.
Thierry Henry wasn't in the starting eleven, Hopefully, he'll come on as a substitute.
The view from our actual seats...
Dominic Oduro's hair was cut into a Ghanaian flag...
At the half, it was still nil-nil. And we moved over closer to the Crew goal.
The refs blows for a penalty! Federico Higuain steps up...
GOAL! 1-0 Crew!
And then Higuain scored again with this incredible chip over the Red Bulls keeper.
And that's how it would finish. 2-0 Crew over the Red Bulls.
But no Thierry Henry sightings. :(
Hello.
Another incredible night of soccer! :)
