It's a sign.

It's a sign
For boxing? In downtown Cincinnati? This Friday? Awe. Some. Click for more information.

ps. Sucks that their website all non-existent and what not. :/ I was all excited.

UPDATE: Apparently, Cincinnati has a very rich and storied boxing history. One of
Cincinnati's most notable boxers was heavyweight champion, Ezzard Charles. Yeah,
that Ezzard Charles. Charles defended his heavyweight title seven times, including a
defeat of Joe Louis, who came out of his 15-month retirement to fight Charles. Ezzard
Charles greatest fame came in June 1954, when he became the only fighter to go the
distance - 15 rounds - with Rocky Marciano.

Wow. Why isn't there an ESPN 30 For 30 about Cincinnati's boxing history? Seriously.

  3. Yeah, Cincinnati has a long and rich history with boxing that includes the prominent Buddy LaRossa. The city regularly produces Olympic boxers, and this history is in part why Todd Portune has lobbied to include a boxing venue at the new casino being built at Broadway Commons.
