The Cleveland Cavaliers and Illadelphia 76ers are in town for a little preseason NBA
basketball game at US Bank Arena.* It's not every day that you get to see two teams
that have little chance of making the playoffs play basketball in Cincinnati. Let's go...
There weren't a whole lot of people at US Bank Arena. I wonder if that has something
LeBron "taking his talents to South Beach." If you ask me, that's even more reason to
come to the game. I can actually start to like the Cavs now that LeBron is gone.
And the Cavs won. Hooray! Actually I don't think I ever saw them trail in the ballgame.
Click to see all the photos I took at the Cavs vs. 76ers game.
*So come to find out that US Bank Arena doesn't allow dSLR cameras with big piss off
lenses in the stadia. Who knew? It's not like I didn't take my big camera with my big
70-300mm lens to almost every Cyclones game I went to last season. It's a good thing
I live close as I had to walk my camera back home. That's a silly rule. But whatever,
my point and shoot has the same exact zoom capability as my 70-300mm lens. So noted.
I won't bother lugging the big camera to US Bank Arena.

You never know who you'll run into.
As I was walking home, some of the Cleveland Cavaliers were making their way out of the
Cincinnatian Hotel, signing autographs and boarding the team charter to head down to
US Bank Arena for their Preseason game against the Illadelphia 76ers.
See you in a little bit, fellas.

I got my hair cut today.
So I guess I'm going to Oregon for Christmas.
And that's cool with me. I've never to Oregon before, if you don't count my travels along
the Oregon Trail back in the day. Sounds fun. Hopefully, I won't die of dysentery this time
around. Milan will keep an ear open for rabbits that we can hunt so that we don't starve...
Mmmm... bunnies. :9 LOL.

Pause for Paws.
Svensk is sitting right next to me and is looking all irritated. She just recently discovered
that beyond our door there is a hallway and a whole new world for her to explore. I didn't
let her out into to the hall tonight. And now she's looking all mad. Poor kitty. LOL.
"Pleeeeeease let me out in the hallway. I promise not to go very far. Pleeeease?"
"You're not going to let me out in the hallway, are you?" Grr.
And Milan says, "What's the big deal is about the hallway? You should see the parks."

Seen and noted.
On our way home from the dog park, I missed our turn to get onto Columbia Parkway and
somehow ended up passing right by Terry's Turf Club, home of the burgers that Cincinnati
foodies get their panties all in a bunch over. So noted for our next trip to the dog park...
As we continued to wander our way back downtown, we passed the historic East End Cafe.
It's considered among the oldest continuously operated bars in Cincinnati, since 1867.
Early Saturday morning, firefighters were called to the East End Cafe for a fire...
The fire looks like it ravaged the building. We were driving by with all the windows
down and the sunroof open. You could smell that smoky fire scent for three blocks down
Eastern Avenue. It's a shame to see any piece of Cincinnati's history gutted like this.

Funday Sunday, puppy edition.
This afternoon I took Milan to Otto Armleder Dog Park. It's been forever and a day
since I've taken Milan to this dog park. He loooves to run and play with other dogs...
I'm really happy that Milan didn't get into the mud bath like this puppy...
It sure was a gorgeous afternoon for going to the dog park.
All and all, we hung out for about a hour and a half. We left when Milan started laying
down in the grass more than he was playing with other dogs. On our way home, we
stopped at Burger King where I got Milan some chicken tenders.
When we got home, he crashed out...
I think he had a pretty good day. :)
