Tonight, Cincinnati Ballet raised the curtains to celebrate the annual return of the holiday
tradition filled with dancing snowflakes, waltzing flowers, belligerent mice with swords
and brave toy soliders! The 36th season of Frisch's Presents The Nutcracker opened tonight
at the magnificent Aronoff Center.
While I was waiting for the show to start, I stopped in across the street to Righteous Room
and they had the Great Lakes Christmas Ale on tap. SuperYum, FTW!!!
Thank you sooo much to Heather for getting me in to see this Cincinnati holiday tradition!
i love these photos! I think I've just gotten used to being at the Aronoff and I forget how beautiful it is from outside the box office :)
ReplyDeletethanks for posting these. As I have been a parent volunteer I have seen the Nutcracker thru the years but there is always an air of excitement as your hear the orchestra begin to tune instruments, lights go dim and the music begins! This year its especially sweet for me since my daughter Diamond will be a flower and snowflake. We both remember her being only 8 yrs old and sitting in the audience (mesmerized) tingling with the excitement of it all. Life coming full circle! The photos bring back memories of years past and I cant wait to see it tonight!
