X-A-V-IER.

Tonight was the season opener for the Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team. Xavier
opened their season at home against the Western Michigan University Broncos from my
hometown of Kalamazoo. My parents drove down to go the game. Who were they cheering
for? Xavier, of course. LOL. Not big fans of Western despite both being Alumni. After
having a little adventure trying to remember how to get the Cintas Center, we finally
found it and were ready for some Muskies basketball. LET'S GO X!







The Muskateers apparently have their own Hype Machine, kinda like the Celtics.

The atmosphere at the start of the game was absolutely electric.







WOW! Now THAT was a basketball game! Xavier beat the Broncos 68-65. Western had
a chance to send the game to overtime with a three-pointer with two seconds that bounced
around the rim three times as time expired. The shot eventually rimmed out and you could
hear the collective sigh of relief from all the fans that had packed the Cintas Center.
