The Nikkor AF-S Micro 85mm VR lens is the latest addition to my little Nikon Family.
It's a basically a macro lens for shooting extreme close-ups with a gorgeous depth of field.
Here are a few shoots I've taken with it so far, just playing with it tonight...
You can see how well the lens brings the subject matter in and out of focus when I shoot
down the line-up of bottles from some of the amazing beers we enjoyed last weekend...
Pretty neat stuff. I can't wait to keep playing with this bad boy more and see what else it
can do. Here's my whole little photography gear set-up...
I have, from left to right...
• A Nikkor AF-S VR 55-200mm lens
• A Sigma 70-300mm lens
• A Sony CyberShot DSC H-55 with 10x Optical Zoom (equivalent of my 70-300mm)
• A Nikon D3000 with 18-55 AF-S VR lens and Nikon SB-600 speedlight attached
• A Nikkor AF-S VR Micro 85mm lens
• An old skool Nikkor 50mm f1.8 lens
• And another 18-55 AF-S VR lens with Opteka 0.35x fisheye attachment
And not pictured is my Nikon D40, which Nikon is working on fixing the shutter that
refuses to release as I type this. Hopefully, that will be back with me soon. And that it
won't cost an arm and a leg to fix. Fingers crossed. Well, that's all my gear. And all
my gear still fits in my LowePro camera backpack! Well, kinda...
Swoon.
