Saturday with Shannon and John.

Disclaimer: This is probably going to be the longest post ever on my blog.
We did soo much stuff this morning. So considered yourself disclaimed.

This morning we got up and went across downtown to Tazza Mia to get coffee. I learned
that Tazza Mia sells delicious Bonbonerie Opera Cake by the slice! Good to know.

Tazza Mia is in Carew Tower which up until just a minute ago, was the tallest building in
Cincinnati. And it has an observation deck on the 45th-ish floor. An observation deck
that I've never been up to visit before. So Quatchi said, "Let's go get high!!!"

Whoa! We were just at the tip-top waaaaay up at the top up there...

From the Carew Tower, we wandered up Vine Street past my office to It's Just Crepes.

Then we visited to the little shops of the Gateway Quarter where cuteness lives and breeds.

We strolled past a few of the Shepard Fairey murals...

Oddly, they've all been tagged with this little floating young Michael Jackson head.

John and Shannon were looking for a new guidebook on traveling around the United States.
We stopped into Iris Bookstore on Main Street. No luck but they have an awesome back patio.

We decided just to walk to the Barnes and Noble across the river at Newport on the Levee.
On our way there, we stopped into the OHio Bookstore. Another place I pass all the time
but have never been into. The place was awesome. Three floors of books all older than me.

They found the book they were looking for, and we walked back home. We got back to the
apartment where John and Shannon packed up their stuff and were on their way.
And they're off!
And Milan said, "Wow. Weren't there just people here? Where'd they go?"

It was a really fun but fast visit!
