One of my favorite parts of last summer was MidPoint Music Festival's Indie Summer Series
on Fountain Square. You might remember some of the photos I took... here, here and here.
Well, this summer's line-up was just announced by CityBeat...
"The series opens with the one-two punch of Scottish Indie Pop darlings Camera Obscura
(June 4) and the much-buzzed about Neon Indian (June 11). Rounding out the month are
MidPoint vets Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit (June 18) and reunited Pop/Punk Chicago
band Smoking Popes (June 25). July’s Indie Summer headliners are Pomegranates
(July 2), the Cincy-via-Oakland-via-Cincy trio Why? (July 9), You, You’re Awesome
(July 16), Wussy (July 23) and Eat Sugar teamed with odd one-man-band Bob Log III
(July 30). August has soon-to-be-huge Indie Roots band Dawes (Aug. 6), Buffalo Killers
and The Lions Rampant (Aug. 13), Bad Veins (Aug. 20) and Brian Olive, (Aug. 27).
The series closes out with a Labor Day weekend kick-off featuring the funniest men in Rock,
We Are Scientists (Sept. 3). Get more details at Fountain Square's web site."
Excited doesn't begin to describe how I am feeling. :)
Good catch, you beat me to the punch! Some GREAT stuff happening on the Square this summer!
