On April 15th, 2007 for the 60th anniversary of Jackie Robinson's major league debut,
Major League baseball invited players to wear the number 42 on Jackie Robinson Day. The
tradition continues today in 2010 when all major League ballplayers will wear Robinson's
number 42 in honor of his legacy and the impact the Brooklyn Dodger had on baseball
and on the world by breaking the game's color barrier.
